Jerseyville Winter Thaw Results

It was a great day for Plains track and field at Principia College on Saturday.  Plains boys brought home 6 different medals, including:

Keigan Halford, 1st place 60 HH

Sam Crocker, 2nd place triple jump, 3rd place 60 HH

Steven Melin, 3rd place 3200 meters

Lucas Western, Sam Crocker, Jack Pearce, Keigan Halford, 2nd place 4x200 relay

Lucas Western, Dakota Sunley, Jack Pearce, Nick Sunley, 2nd place 4x400 relay

In addition, there were 6 varsity season bests and 5 frosh/soph season bests set.

Five athletes also set indoor personal bests, including (new PR 1st, old PR 2nd)

Keigan Halford 60HH 8.64-9.92

Sam Crocker 60 HH 8.98-9.53

Parker Kmett 200 25.62-25.86

Steven Melin 1600 4:52.82-4:54.71

Braden Moore 3200 (lifetime best, indoor or out) 10:40.11-10:48.44

Six athletes also set all-time top 10 indoor marks, including:

Sam Crocker 60HH #3 (tied with Bjoern Adden ) 8.98

Parker Kmett 200 #10 25.68

Steven Melin 1600 #6 4:52.82

Justin Holding PV #2 (tied) 11'6"

And there was one indoor school record set:

Keigan Halford, 60 meter HH, 8.64, which bested Jake Wayda's old record of 8.69
